What’s it all about?
JobJuice.gov.au is run by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and helps young Australians who are looking for work and thinking about their future.
It’s all about making the complex process of deciding on a career and finding a job a little easier.
So that you don’t feel lost in a maze of options and advice, we’ve tried to ensure the site provides you with only the most relevant and useful information available.
We’ve broken it down into five core sections. So whatever stage you’re at, you can easily find information to help you.
At school section
To make sure your career pathway is a smooth one, there are certain things worth considering while you’re still at school. Find out why the subjects you take are important and what you should consider when trying to choose a career to suit you.
You’ll also find information and advice about who can help you make your decision, and how you can jump-start your career while you’re still at school.
Choose a direction section
Whether you’re at school, studying, working or looking for a job, this area of the site gives you the information you need to help you make a career choice.

At Work section
Now you’ve got that job, check out the At Work section to let you know where you stand including what your entitlements are as a young person. It also includes heaps of useful workplace words and definitions.
Extra Assistance section
Want to know more about the different types of specialist employment prorgrammes out there?
This section gives you a brief description on programmes for people including, young Indigenous Australians, young people with a disability, and for young people who may face serious barriers such as drug and alcohol problems.

Some of the linked information is provided by other government agencies and www.jobjuice.gov.au is unable to guarantee the currency of the information contained on those linked sites.
