Green Corps Green Corps is an Australian Government youth development and environmental training programme for young people aged between 17 and 20 years. The programme provides young people with the opportunity to volunteer their time and effort to conserve, preserve and restore Australia’s natural environment and cultural heritage.Green Corps aims to:- provide high quality, genuine environmental outcomes, which aid in the conservation, protection and restoration of Australia's natural environment and cultural heritage - provide youth development opportunities for young Australians, including improved employment and educational outcomes - promote connections between young Australians and their communities.Since the programme began more than 16 000 young Australians have joined Green Corps projects across Australia; more than 14.5 million trees have been planted; more than 8000 kilometres of fencing has been built; and more than 7000 kilometres of walking track has been constructed or maintained.
